- Describe the main diagnostic criteria for the DSM-IV-TR listed personality disorders, and evaluate some of the controversial issues concerning both diagnosis and comorbidity.
- Describe and evaluate the main theories of the aetiology of a number of personality disorders, particularly Cluster A disorders, antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, and Cluster C disorders.
- Describe and evaluate the factors that make the treatment of people with a diagnosis of personality disorder so problematic.
- Describe and evaluate 3 or 4 psychological therapies that have been developed to treat people with a diagnosis of personality disorder.
