Video of a rare aggregation of sawfish in south Florida.

Sawfishes are among the most imperiled marine and estuarine fishes in the world. Fast forward through the first 6 minutes unless you're a fan of sponges and gorgonians.

The large fish swimming actively are cobia, Rachycentron canadum; note their color change. Cobia often associate with large elasmobranchs, for reasons that are poorly understood.

In the sawfish footage, note the behavior of the remoras; what do you think they are doing? Also, notice the size and pattern of dorsal and upper caudal fins of the sawfish. What does the discussion of shark swimming in Chapter 8 tell you about their morphology and function?
