In all topics, measures must be validated before acquiring. In case of electrophysiology, the results are validated in based of recording parameters, corresponding to electrical parameters of the measure system. To validate a result, we have to acquire a measurement protocol to maintain which is not activating voltage dependent conductance of the membrane. The analysis of the results of this protocol allows to determinate parameters of the measure system but also passive parameters of the cell. The passive parameters of the cellular membrane represent the membrane resistance and capacity. The parameters of the measure system indicate if the recording trusty represents the cell activity. In fact with the parameters of the measure system, we are able to determinate if the stimulus is correctly applied to the cell and if the response is correctly measured.
