The aim was to evaluate heart rate(HR) parameters after treatment by high pressure oxygen (HPO), using computerised analysis. Methods: In 15 pts, with acute auricular neuritis, RR intervals were recorded 10 min at rest, during active orthostasis, 10 min in standing position, during clinostasis, again 10 min at rest. Then pts were exposed to HPO (chamber OKA-MT), 1.6 ata (or 0.6 at) for 60 min in 10 days. Standard HR and HR variability analysis have been performed. All procedures were repeated after treatment by HPO. There were studied mean HR variability, HR at rest, max reaction of the HR to orthostasis, HR in standing position, HR recovery time at rest after clinostasis. Results. It was found that after the treatment the reaction to orthostasis improved from 0.63s to 0.60s and HR recovery time after clinostasis differ widely (from 29,1s to 20,8s). No marked changes could be seen in other parameters. The number of HR and conduction disorders decreased.
Conclusion: Heart rate parameters after treatment by high pressure oxygen showed moderate improvement cardiovascular functional status.
