keywordgroup

A group of keywords associated with a document or object.

Keywords associated with a document are grouped together in a keywordgroup. The keywordgroup is found in the keywordgroup element. Keywords are tagged in XML in order to make them searchable against databases in the online version of a document. In the print version of a journal, for example, keywords would normally be found at the end of the article summary. In the online version of the article, for example on Synergy, they are displayed at the side of the page and are hyperlinked to allow them to be submitted to online databases, returning a hitlist of articles which contain the keyword.
