If the issue number is non-numeric (e.g. a Roman numeral), a numeric value can be assigned in the number attribute.
CDATA
The sequence number of the item within the issue. Value must be numeric e.g. "1" for first article; "2" for second article. If an article needs to be inserted between two existing numbers, decimal points can be used. e.g. "1.1" would appear after article 1 and before article 2.
