alternativemath

An alternative version of the main equation in formula in a different markup. e.g. if LaTeX versions of MathML equations need to be generated for creation of equation Gifs, these could be stored in alternativemath.

See the special topic Math and formulae for examples of math tagging in DTD 4.

AT THE PRESENT, Blackwell Publishing is using gifs for the equations. Please see the graphics requirements.
