Peter Fosl
Peter Fosl I’m a native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and hail from a family that worked in the steel industry, on the railroads, and in textile mills. All but one of my grandparents were immigrants from eastern Europe—two from Lithuania, and one from Croatia. I’m a transplant to Kentucky but love it a great deal. I’ve grown deeply attached to its sprawling elegant horse farms, the green rolling Appalachians, its warm and tightly knit people, its connection to Scotland and the British Isles, and its painful history of struggle. I’m also something of an Anglophile and Ecossephile (Scotaphile?)—if that’s a word. I try to get to Britain as often as possible to visit my friends (especially the Thin family of Thin’s Booksellers in Edinburgh), walk the Highlands, and work on David Hume. [ more ]
