Exact principal
components influence measures applied to the analysis of spectroscopic
data on rice, by B. J. A. Mertens
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series
C (Applied Statistics), volume 47 (1998), part 4
DESCRIPTION OF
DATA
For each sample, the group indicator variable is given (1=Basmati (9
samples) and 2=American (27 samples)) first, then a sequence number
which specifies the order in which the sample appears in the file given
here, an additional sample identification number (three digits) which
was used in the study and finally the spectroscopic measurements (100
) for the sample. The spectroscopic data is in order of increasing wavelength
(850 to 1048 by 2 nm) for each sample and throughout the file. The data
must be read in sample after sample, row after row, from left to right,
reading in the first three sample identification numbers first and then
the 100 spectral measurements for each sample, after which the next
sample is read in. There are 36 samples in total on the file.
