Estimating the propagation rate of a viral infection of potato plants via mixtures of regressions, by T. R. Turner
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, Applied Statistics, Volume 49 (2000), Part 3

The material is all contained in the file "mixreg" which is a SHELL ARCHIVE. To unpack this archive, move it into the directory in which you wish to work, change directories to that directory, and type

sh mixreg

(The file mixreg is an ASCII file; it is tedious but not unduly difficult to unpack the archive "by hand" using a text editor, which might be necessary if you are working on something other than a Unix system.)

This will create a number of files designed to be used as an Splus library section. Instructions for installing and using this library section are given in the file READ_ME which will be unpacked from the mixreg archive. Note that there will also be a file README (no underscore) which contains some minimal documentation in the form required by library sections.

After the archive mixreg has been successfully unpacked, it may be removed, or placed elsewhere as a backup.

All of the software is written in Splus.

The same material is available from the author's home web page; go to the URL http://www.math.unb.ca/~rolf/Research/ and click on Mixtures of regressions.
