Extremal analysis of short series
with outliers: sea-levels and athletics records, by M. I. Barão and J. A. Tawn, Volume 48 (1999)
The data for the applications which are studied in the paper are in the files
Tawnsea.txt and Tawnath.txt.
Tawnsea.txt contains the annual maximum sea-level data. The columns are, from left to
right, the year followed by the maximum sea-levels (in metres) for Great Yarmouth,
Lowestoft, Harwich, Walton, Holland, Southend and Sheerness respectively.
Tawnath.txt contains the women's athletics annual best times data. The columns are the
year followed by the times (in seconds) for the 1500 m and 3000 m races.
