Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series B, volume 66 (2004)

Data sets: summer.txt, winter.txt

These are data sets in ASCII format with following variables:

Column1 : daily maximum ozone in parts per billion
Column2 : daily maximum NO2 in parts per billion
Column3 : daily maximum NO in parts per billion
Column4 : daily maximum SO2 in parts per billion
Column5 : daily maximum PM10 in micrograms/metre^3

Both data sets are measurements of air pollution variables recorded in Leeds city centre (UK) from 1994-1998 inclusive. The summer data set corresponds to observations during April - July inclusive and the winter data set to those during November - February inclusive. The outliers mentioned in the paper have been excluded from these data sets.

These monitoring data have been provided by the Air Quality Archive at www.airquality.co.uk. This and the measurement programmes are funded by Defra, the Scottish Executive, the Welsh Assembly Government and DoE Northern Ireland.
