L. Duchateau, P. Janssen, I. Kezic and C. Fortpied: Evolution of recurrent asthma event rate over time in frailty models, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Applied Statistics, volume 52 (2003), part 3, pages 355 - 363

Data set: asthma.text

This is a data set in ASCII format with following variables

Column1 : id.w :identification number of the subject
Column2 : trt.w: treatment assignment: 0= control, 1=drug
Column3 : start.w: Start of the at risk period
Column4 : stop.w: End of the at risk period
Column5 : st.w: censoring indicator: 0=censored, 1=event
Column6 : nn: number of at risk periods for particular subject
Column7 : fevent: indicator for first event: 0= no, 1: yes

This data set is read in by the R-program

Program: recurr.txt

This program can be submitted in R. It assumes that the file
with the data 'asthma.txt' is in the directory 'c:\'. It fits all models both for the Weibull and the lognormal parametric assumption. It also fits the Cox PH models provided the survival library is loaded.
