SERIES B
Statistical Methodology

The description of this dataset:

• The file name for the dataset is hk.dat.
• The first column is the number of hospital admissions due to circulatory and respiratory problem from January 1, 1994 to December 31, 1995.
• The second column is the level of silfur dioxide.
• The third column is the level of nitrogen dioxide.
• The forth column is the level of dust.

The description of the S-CODE: The program used in Example 3 is S-PLUS.

The S-CODE is in the file hk.s. To run this program, just type "source("hk.s")" in the S-PLUS program.

Proofs of theorems 1 and 2 are given in the file proof.pdf. (size 121KB)
