Statistics for weighing benefits and harms in a proposed genetic substudy of a randomized cancer prevention trial, by S. G. Baker and B. S. Kramer
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series C, Applied Statistics, Volume 54 (2005) part 5, 941 - 954

The software involves three packages written in Mathematica 5.1: gene.m, genec.m, and genei.m. The package gene.m calls the other packages and contains functions for making the plots. The file genec.m includes functions for computing the age-specific absolute risk difference and the file genei.m contains functions for computing the net benefit index.

To reproduce the plots in the paper, load the packages and type gene[par]

The software is tailored to the design described in the paper. Users wishing to modify the software for their own application require familiarity with Mathematica. For questions, please contact
