Estimating efficacy in a proposed randomized trial with initial and later non-compliance, by S. G. Baker, C. Frangakis and K. S. Lindeman, Appl. Statist., 56 (2007), 211–221

The software involves two packages written in Mathematica 5.2: soapmanu.m and soapmle.m. (The name comes from the Society for Obstetric Anesthesiology and Perinatology). The package soapmle.m is a general maximum likelihood routine.
The package soapmanu.m computes the sample sizes for the scenarios in the text.

To reproduce the results in the paper, load the packages and type fitset[par], where par is a symbolic parameter vector.
The software is tailored to the design described in the paper. Users wishing to modify the software for their own application require familiarity with Mathematica.
