x denotes the vector of applied nitrogen levels in the trials (kilograms per hectare)
x.f denotes the vector of future applied nitrogen levels used for calculating posterior expected utility (kilograms per hectare)
yield denotes the array of grain yields recorded for the three varieties and seven environments in the trials
