Jurassic pterosaur

This flying reptile, Pterodactylus kochi, was found in Limestone of Jurassic age - impressions of the wing membranes have been preserved. The wingspans of pterosaurs varied from 20 centimetres to 12 metres, and they occupied similar predatory niches to those occupied by many modern birds.
