| August 12 August Astrochemistry of Life A multidisciplinary symposium to be held as part of the Royal Society of Chemistry 2001 Annual Conference at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham. The symposium is organized by the Astrophysical Chemistry Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Astronomical Society. It is planned that in addition to being a benchmark meeting in its own right, the symposium will provide a forum that will increase debate with and among chemists and biochemists, and encourage involvement in this exciting area. Attendance at any part of the conference is restricted to those who have applied in advance. The closing date for applications in 29 June 2001; details are available on the Web site.
