VATER (sometimes expanded to ‘VACTERL') is an acronym for major anomalies, including vertebral anomalies, anal atresia, cardiac defect, tracheoesophageal fistula, renal anomalies, and limb anomalies.

Management:

Surgery for correctable congenital anomalies; supportive care

Genetic counseling:

Low risk of recurrence, with counseling based on empirical data
