The Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health provides a forum for the publication of peer-reviewed original research, clinical observations, review articles, annotated book reviews and Letters to the Editor. Although focused primarily on the Asia Pacific region, the Journal attracts readers and contributors from more than 30 countries. A new development in 2000 sees the Journal increase in size to include a designated Continuing Education section. Part 1 contains the reviews and annotations regularly published by the Journal and Part 2 contains a series of papers addressing specific topics, including statistics, ethical issues, evidence based medicine, neonatal medicine and instructive case reports.

Erratum
The publisher would like to draw attention to an error that appeared in the April 2007 issue. The Editorial Comment 'Strengthening behavioural interventions for indigenous health' by Professor Ross Bailie and Associate Professor Gary Robinson (43-4: 201-202) was to be published simultaneously with the Original Research article 'Randomised clinical trial of a group parent education programme for Australian Indigenous families ' by Karen MT Turner Mary Richards and Matthew R Sanders (43-6: 429-437), but because of an oversight in the publishing process these articles were published separately.
The publisher apologises to all of the authors concerned for the oversight and for any confusion it may have caused.
Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health now publishing Early View
What is Early View?
Fully finished, peer-reviewed articles are available online before the print issue is published, enabling readers to access information faster without having to wait for the delivery of the entire issue. The benefit of this feature to the researcher means that you can keep your research ahead of the competition, whilst being reassured of the quality of the content.
All Early View articles can be cited using the Digital Object Identifier (DOI), which also continues to allow links to the article even when it has been assigned to an issue.
