Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics is an international peer-reviewed journal publishing papers in applied nutrition and dietetics. Under the editorial guidance of a team of experts, the journal aims to meet the changing needs of those concerned with human nutrition and dietetics.

Areas covered include; clinical nutrition, the practice of therapeutic dietetics public health nutrition; health promotion; food choice; nutritional status; the psychology of eating behaviour and the sociology of food

In addition to original papers, short reports and letters to the editor, the Journal contains:

  • A book review section (edited by Dr. Angela Madden)
  • Occasional review papers on topical issues (edited by Dr. Carrie Ruxton)
  • A new section for CPD enabling dieticians to continue updating knowledge and understanding of key topics (edited by Dr Ailsa Brotherton)

Papers are therefore welcomed on:

  • Clinical nutrition and the practice of therapeutic diseases
  • Public health nutrition and nutritional epidemiology
  • Health promotion and intervention studies and their effectiveness

Submissions

Submissions are welcome on topics relating to clinical dietetics and public health nutrition. The Editor is happy to provide informal feedback on any queries about suitability of a topic for the journal. Submissions from practising dietitians are particularly welcome.

The Editor assures potential authors that receipt of all manuscripts will be acknowledged in writing. Further information regarding the manuscript will be given within 6-16 weeks. Any queries regarding papers should be sent by email to Dr. Gandy (jhnded@bcuc.ac.uk)

The Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics is the official journal of the British Dietetic Association. It aims to reflect the needs and work of the profession, please feel part of this process by providing contributions, refereeing or providing comment and feedback.
