Welcome This is a joint
venture between the Journal
of Family Therapy and the Association for
Family Therapy and Systemic Practice in the UK providing
the opportunity to obtain and discuss via the internet a family therapy
journal paper. Participation is available free to all Journal readers. Discussions will be conducted through the AFT e-mail list by kind permission of the list owner, Chris Evans. The third Forum
discussion begins 12 noon GMT on Sunday 2nd of May and
Dancing on a razor's edge: systemic group work with batterers by Mark Rivett and Alyson Rees, published in Volume 26 (2). Wishful thinking or Occam’s razor? A response to ‘Dancing on a razor’s edge: systemic group work with batterers’ by Arlene Vetere and Jan Cooper, published in Volume 26 (2).
Step two: Join the AFT list To take part in ongoing discussions you need to register your contact details with the AFT listserv. You will not be able to receive discussion e-mail without registering. You can leave the list at any time you want by sending an "unsubscribe" message as described in the welcome message.. To join, e-mail aft-request@psyctc.org with the message "subscribe" (but without the quotation marks). Once you've joined you'll get a confirmation request which you should be able to confirm simply by replying to it. This is to make it harder for someone to abuse the list by spamming it or subscribing others to it. After you confirm you should get a message telling you all about the list, PLEASE keep this! Then you are aboard and you can send a message to the list simply by clicking ‘reply’ to any message. You may find it useful to set up a file in your emails called AFT, and automatically divert all messages with [AFT] in the subject to that file. That way your personal emails will nto get overloaded. Archives of previous discussions are available to current subscribers to the AFT list. Any problems?
