Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (JIPB) is now indexed by MEDLINE!

We are very proud to announce that in July 2008 the Journal of Integrative Plant Biology (JIPB) has been selected by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to be indexed in MEDLINE, the world's most important biomedical bibliographical database. NLM uses an advisory committee, the Literature Selection Technical Review Committee, composed of authorities knowledgeable in the field of biomedicine, such as physicians, researchers, educators, editors, health science librarians, and historians, to review and recommend the journal titles NLM should index. Only 15-20% of medical journals are selected at each session for inclusion in MEDLINE.

The announcement of our inclusion in Index MEDLINE is excellent news for our esteemed authors, our world-class editorial board, and our ever-growing pool of expert peer reviewers, and especially our readers and potential readers. All share in and benefit from this success.

The Impact Factor of JIPB has increased by 30%!

The newly released Thomson ISI Journal Citation Report showed that the Impact Factor of JIPB has increased by 30%, jumped from 0.515 in 2006 to 0.671 in 2007. The ranking position of JIPB in all journals in the category of Plant Sciences has advanced by 9.

Congratulations to Journal of Integrative Plant Biology on being named as one of the Top 5 Chinese science and technology journals from 2006 to 2008 by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology. This prestigious award recognises the significant contribution Journal of Integrative Plant Biology has made to science both within China and around the world.

Free Access in the Developing World
Free online access to this journal is available within institutions in the developing world through the AGORA Initiative with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the OARE Initiative (Online Access to Research in the Environment) with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP).
