Ecological Entomology publishes top-quality original research on the ecology of terrestrial and aquatic insects and related invertebrate taxa. Our aim is to publish papers that will be of considerable interest to the wide community of ecologists.
In particular, we welcome submissions on:
Where the content of the paper falls outside of the remit of the journal, we may recommend that authors submit their papers to one of our sister journals. For example, papers in pest management that do not test broader ecological theories may be forwarded to Agricultural and Forest Entomology, if appropriate.
Reviews, critical appraisals, forum-type articles and short communications are welcomed.

We are very sad to hear that Professor Christine Mueller died recently. Christine had been involved with Ecological Entomology as an associate editor and her contributions were greatly valued. On behalf of the journal we would like to pass our deepest sympathies to her colleagues, students, friends and family. Please find an obituary from her colleague Bernhard Schmid following this link.
