General Ordering Information

Subscribe / Renew


You can renew or take out a new subscription to any of our journals securely through this website, as well as joining/renewing your membership of many of the societies for which we publish. Please visit our list of journals page, select the journal title, click on the subscribe/renew link in the left hand column, and select the applicable rate. Then fill out the order form as directed.


Payment


Payment in advance is required for all orders. Payment can be made by credit card, cheque/check, or bank transfer (£ sterling only).

Credit Card:

We accept Credit Card payments by:

  • American Express
  • Visa
  • Mastercard       

Credit card number, expiry date, and the name on the card are all required, in addition to the subscription details. You may also place your credit card order by telephone.

Cheque/Check:

Cheques/Checks must by made payable to Blackwell Publishing Ltd.

Bank Transfer: 

If you would like to pay by bank transfer please fill in our  online bank transfer information form.

If you do not wish to subscribe through our website, please send your payment, with full order details, to your nearest Blackwell office. 


TopSubscription Type

Subscriptions for the majority of our journals are entered on a calendar-year basis, starting with the first issue of the current year and expiring in December; any issues already published will be sent on receipt of payment. Exceptions are listed below, these subscriptions may commence at any point during the volume. All new subscriptions start with the most recent issue. 

TopDelivery Terms and Legal Title 


Where the subscription or membership price includes print issues, the price is inclusive of delivery of print journals to the receipient's address. Delivery terms are Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU); the recipient is responsible for paying any import duty or taxes. Legal title passes to the customer on despatch by our distributors.


Developing World Rates


Special rates for developing countries are stated when available on the Subscribe/Renew pages. Blackwell Publishing classifies developing world countries based on the World Bank classification of economies. Countries classified as Low Income and Lower Middle Income qualify for a developing world rate.

TopCancellations

No refunds on subscriptions will be made after the first issue of the journal for the subscription has been dispatched, or after the given period of online access has commenced.


Articles

Most articles published since 1997 are available online. You can purchase online access articles using your credit card via Wiley InterScience. Locate the article you require and then follow the on screen instructions.


Sample Copies Online

Online sample copies of most journals are available for you to examine yourself or send to your librarian with a recommendation to subscribe. To view a sample copy online, select the relevant journal from our list of all journals and follow the link to sample copies.


TopSecure Ordering

If you choose to order by credit card, our secure server software encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are securely transmitted over the Internet. If you still prefer not to send your credit card number over the Internet, follow the instructions above but print out the order form, then post or fax your order to us.
