Nearly all Blackwell Publishing journals are available online as well as in the print edition. Subscribing to the online version of a journal offers many benefits to the librarian and reader, including the ability to search quickly across a whole range of research articles, gain instant access to the full-text of articles from journals subscribed to, and where available, linking between references and cited articles.

We offer a range of purchasing options for online journals designed to meet the needs of libraries and library consortia. Access to these options is at the Premium level outlined below. For further information about these options, please visit our Librarian Site.

1) Premium Subscription - print with extended online access
PREMIUM access includes all of the advantages of the Blackwell Publishing Site License and is available via Blackwell Synergy.

2) Standard Subscription - print with standard online access
All institutions subscribing to Blackwell Publishing print journals are now entitled to STANDARD access to the online version through Blackwell Synergy. Standard subscriptions are priced at approximately 90% of the Premium subscription price.

Institutions with Standard subscriptions to Blackwell Publishing journals are required to abide by the Terms and Conditions outlined in our 'Site License Agreement for Basic Access to Online Journals'. Please download this here.
3) Online Only Subscription
The majority of Blackwell Publishing journals that have an online version available can be bought at the discounted fee of approximately 85% of the Premium subscription price. Access is at the PREMIUM level through Blackwell Synergy. Institutions subscribing to Blackwell Publishing online only journals must sign the Blackwell Publishing Site License.

There is no additional charge to the publisher's subscription price. However, service providers may charge libraries for use of their service.
