Stage 1
The first step is to complete our career in publishing application form. There are three ways you can do this.
Before applying, it is worthwhile reviewing the criteria we will use to evaluate your suitability (see "Who are we looking for?"). It is also worth finding out as much as you can about publishing and whether it is for you.
If you are currently studying, we recommend that you submit any application for permanent employment by May of the year in which you want to start work.
Stage 2
Once we have received your application, we will short-list this against our criteria and will notify you in writing of the outcome of your application.
If you are successful at this stage, your application will be held on our "waiting list" until a suitable position arises.
We aim to fill all the appropriate vacancies through this route, as and when they arise.
Stage 3
When an opportunity occurs that matches your requirements, skills and availability, we'll contact you to check that you are still interested. If you are, we will send you details of the position available and invite you to attend a selection event at either our Oxford or Edinburgh offices (depending on the position). This will involve a formal interview with the relevant managers and an appropriate skills test. Assuming this goes well, any job offer will be made shortly after this!
