T. Patrick Burke is Professor Emeritus at Temple University,
and author of The Fragile Universe and The Reluctant Vision.
Thomas Patrick Burke was born and educated in Australia, received
his doctoral degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich,
and was for many years Professor of Religion at Temple University.
This work is based to a considerable extent on his personal investigation
of the religions it treats in Asia and the Middle East. He lives
in Philadelphia, USA.
