The aim of the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) is to support microbiologists and communicate research worldwide through fellowships, grants, awards, journals and the FEMS Congress.

FEMS brings together 47 member societies from 36 European countries, covering over thirty thousand microbiologists.
