The Physiological Society's main aims are to promote the advancement of physiology and to facilitate communication, both between scientists and with other stakeholders.
To achieve these objectives, the Society supports 4-5 meetings annually, publishes two journals with Wiley-Blackwell, The Journal of Physiology and Experimental Physiology, and awards grants to allow members to travel and collaborate.
There are many benefits of joining The Physiological Society as a full member, including free online access to The Journal of Physiology and Experimental Physiology. Visit the society's website for further details.
The Journal of Physiology symposia
The Journal of Physiology sponsors several symposia each year on important topics in physiology. These are usually associated with a major scientific meeting. Presentations form the basis of collected Topical Reviews published in The Journal of Physiology. Forthcoming symposia and published Topical Reviews based on previous symposia can be found on the journal website.
